Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not conform to EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on roads does not comply with regulations for public road traffic.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from the customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and registration plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with right of repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
