Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permissible for use in RACING on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to pass the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for mounting: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair returned to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
