Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific type approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
