Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to immediately request information and/or advice from the customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on tracks; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
