Are removable db killers legal? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on roads is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, and the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the public road network and to pass the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on track only, without saddlebags, without flashlights and registration plate supports, or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transition to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be denied. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
