Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; it is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is needed in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and promptly request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or look at the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight and license plate support or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
