Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
You can also install it with side cases. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or to check the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on public roads will lead to the loss of the product warranty. This is from the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the cost of the customer.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
