Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle solely on the track, without saddlebags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that could interfere with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in losing the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
