Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on public roads is not compliant with traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and no number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
