Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, and using the open version on public roads is not compliant with traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific certification is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If there are issues encountered during installation, it is essential to stop and suspend work, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and without number plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This is from the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to re-install the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
