Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on public roads and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer has the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without bags, flashlights, and license plate holders or any other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. The warranty is valid from the purchase date, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
