Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyser or the GPR catalyser is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and with no license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair is provided with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot supply a new silencer to replace the one needing repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
