Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted if the installations are incorrect.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions included in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without saddlebag, flashlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be denied. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR's factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
