Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without any luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one under repair, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
