Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise compliant; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed by a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim request will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
