Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use, removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one under repair, the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
