Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the gas angle changed due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right of repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
