Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification to the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without a torch and number plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights returning to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
