Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, seeking immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
It is designed to be mounted in a high position. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or available tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to modification to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, repair rights revert to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
