Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public roadway regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public roadway regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or consult visible tutorials online, including YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
