Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in line with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance whether having the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, or license plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with repair rights to return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
