Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; customers must verify beforehand if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, flashlights, number plate holders, or other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to modification to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will void the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
