Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives. This is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise. The customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions. Each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of any problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online, including on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlights, and license plate holders or any other parts that may conflict with the different angle of the gas following the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. This applies from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
