Are db killers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing fixtures is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorbike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorbike as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, and mounting plate or other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
