Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to turning it into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
