Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with fitting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions included in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a saddlebag, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any request for a refund will be rejected. Upon purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
