Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and number plate support or other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
