Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; customers must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions. Each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair right returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard repair time.
