Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mount, is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not meet public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if it were on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will void the product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
