Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; it is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific certification is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are needed for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
