Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If you encounter any issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one for repair; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
