Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if a factory catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend operations and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle following the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, the right to repair returns to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard turnaround time for repairs.
