Are dbkillers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the dbkiller and the catalyst or the anti-tamper bolts, or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items suitable for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the change to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of warranty for the product. From the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
