Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the change to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
