Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bag, without flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with right of repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
