Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks, the use of the open version on road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, customers must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the gas angle due to modification to the racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. This is from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
