Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, or number plate holder, or other parts that would interfere with the changed gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights to be returned to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
