Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, or license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair is granted with return to GPR's factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one for repair; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
