Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. The use of the open version on the road is not compliant with regulations for public road circulation.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is included, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights devolving to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
