Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on public roads is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, with no luggage, no flashlight, and no number plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
