Are the dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to seek information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on track only, without saddlebag, flashlight, number plate holder, or any other parts that may conflict with the changed gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty from the time of purchase, with a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
