Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homolgation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. Should any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without luggage, without flashlight and without license plate holder or other parts that might interfere with the different angle of gas due to converting to racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
