Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or to view tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and without a license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product's warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
