Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from the customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without lights and license plate holder, or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
