Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You may use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and with no license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
