Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives. This is only possible for RACING use on tracks, and using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, and the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions. Each silencer bears the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike only on the track, without saddlebags, flashlight, number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will void the product warranty. From the time of purchase, there is the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
