Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on public roads and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific certification is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the certification code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
It is necessary to cut the original collector. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bag, flashlight, and number plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This is from the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
