Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on roads is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is advisable to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer accepts responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a saddlebag, torch and licence plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. This applies from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
