Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific certification is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of difficulties during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights by returning to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
