Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided along with the installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without flashlight and license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
